Rivertex introduces “Circular Product Design” at the A+A fair in Düsseldorf
Rivertex will again be present this year at the A+A trade fair, the world's leading trade fair for safety and health at work, held from 24 to 27 October in Düsseldorf. The A+A fair focuses on workwear and shoes, a great opportunity to present our vision on circular textiles.
At Rivertex we realise that we have a responsibility to make the world of textiles cleaner and we have developed a vision with which we can make the world of protective clothing a little less polluting. We call it Circular Product Design.
Our vision revolves around the simple idea that if all components of which a garment is constructed are made from the same material, it becomes possible to recycle it as a whole.
We have therefore developed a system in which all components of a garment (fabric, coating, zippers, velcro, buttons, etc.) are made from the same polymer: recycled RPET.
This means that the various components of the garment do not have to be separated at the end of its lifespan for recycling, but the garment can be thrown into the recycling company's shredder in its entirety. Additionally, because RPET is the most recycled polymer in the world, finding a local recycling company will be easy.
Rivertex can supply recycled functional coated fabrics made from RPET as well as various recycled accessories with which you can produce your own circular garments.
We also offer the option of producing garments based on patterns that our customers provide us. Whether it is a jacket, trousers or another garment, we can produce it according to your specifications.
