Ocean Safety uses high strength Riverseal® in lifejacket construction

With the emergence of the new Kru range the UK's largest independent safety supplier, Ocean Safety, has introduced a tried and tested fabric to strengthen the construction of their internal lifejacket bladders by up to 25% across, its range of professional and leisure lifejacket ranges.

Riverseal® uses a High Tenacity Nylon base yarn to give superior tensile strength of up to 20% over its main competitors' products. It has also been proved in tests to have up to 25% increased tear strength and an increased puncture resistance and increased abrasion resistance over competitors' materials, as proven by independent UKAS accredited laboratory reports. Riverseal® is ISO 12402 Approved.

"It is always important for Ocean Safety to be able to offer the best quality materials that the market can offer in our lifejacket construction," comments Charlie Mill of Ocean Safety. "We have thoroughly reviewed the effectiveness of the Riverseal® fabric and believe that the technology used is the best currently available. As a result our customers have complete assurance in our lifejackets' performance and capabilities."

Ocean Safety is currently the sole provider of Riverseal's High Visibility Neon Yellow colour and is now incorporating it into the company's new Kru and K2 ranges of lifejackets.

Ben Wells of Rivertex Technical Fabrics Group, the company that manufactures Riverseal®, comments "We are very pleased that our product is being endorsed at the highest level.
